Native Floridian Captain Michael Bales is a full time professional fishing guide in both Florida and Alaska.  While not fishing the summers in Alaska from June thru September,  you can find Captain Mike silently poling the waters of Mosquito Lagoon and the Canaveral National Seashore looking for Redfish and Trout or perhaps on the pristine flats and backcountry of the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and Indian River fly-fishing for Tarpon or Snook.  Having been lucky enough to have fished and guided waters all over the world to include Alaska, Europe, the Rocky Mountain west, GA, and his beloved home of Florida, gives him a real appreciation and an intimate understanding and knowledge of the waters he calls home, The Mosquito Lagoon!

Having been an Alaska Professional Fly Fishing Guide for years guiding for all five species of Pacific Salmon, Steelhead, World-Class Rainbow trout in Katmai National Park and Bristol Bay, as well as Halibut fishing Alaska’s famous Cook Inlet. He has experience operating jet boats, float rafts and drift boats in remote coastal rivers of Alaska, as well as offshore boats and inshore boats in Florida.
